  • Overview

Our approach to early childhood education is grounded in our purpose of integrating ecology, culture and community to ensure academic excellence and personal success. All students experiencing the Journeys School Pre-Kindergarten program will be well-prepared for Kindergarten. A child’s natural passion for learning will be supported and nurtured. Focus is on the whole child in the four areas of development: cognitive, language, social-emotional and physical. Both the social and ecological environment are used to enhance and improve all areas of student learning, motivation and behavior. In addition, we aim to pay careful attention to family members, teachers and the physical environment.
