The High School faculty is proud of our strong student-student, student-teacher and teacher-family relationships developed through our advisory program. The advisory program is designed to ensure that each student is known well at school by at least one adult who can act as that student’s advocate; guarantee that every student belongs to a peer group; help every student find ways of being successful within the academic and social community of the Journeys School; and promote communication and coordination between home and school. Students are organized into advisory groups and mentored by the same faculty member until they begin their capstone program during their 12th-grade year. Attention to individual student needs is the centerpiece of our advising philosophy.
